REVIEW: Sally Hansen 'Dries Instantly' Top Coat put to the test! (Before/After pictures) (★★★★★)

When will winter finally end?! I've been feeling cold for too long now! I've been dying to put on pastel spring colours on my nails, but looking at the current weather I'd just feel silly. So I grabbed Topshop's 'Mermaid' to make that harsh winter a little more bearable/prettier.

Topshop 'Mermaid' with the Sally Hansen 'Dries Instantly' top coat

Pictured above is Topshop Mermaid with a coat of Sally Hansen 'Dries Instantly' top coat (available here for £4.67 plus £2.99 delivery). This picture was taken just after I'd finished painting my nails.

I was instantly in love—the bottle may look a bit cheap and drugstore-y but wow, the brush of this product is incredible! This top coat applied like a dream, and dried a lot faster than my Rimmel top coat. But that's not even the best news. Oh no, this top coat makes your nail varnish last for at least a week!

HAUL: Catrice, Essie, Peggy Sage, Sally Hansen!

I'm back with a BANG! Well, maybe not a bang, but an awesome haul. As I've mentioned, I spent last week with my family on the continent, and ended up spending lots of pennies. Whenever I'm off to Europe I take advantage and check out all the beauty brands that aren't as easily available here in England.

I was quite successful! Successful in this case meaning reckless in my spending.

I have been nominated for the Liebster Award!

I was really quite chuffed when the lovely Chrissie from +10 Kapow told me that she'd nominated me for the Liebster Award. Well, I still am!

The Liebster Award is awarded to blogger by other bloggers. It goes to blogs with under 200 followers and is meant to spread the word about some of the less known blogs in order to give them the recognition they deserve. I'm not sure I'm quite there yet, but I feel very privileged to have been nominated this early in my blogging 'career'.

  1. Once nominated, you have to state 11 facts about yourself,
  2. then answer 11 questions asked by the blogger who has nominated you,
  3. nominate 11 bloggers,
  4. and finally come up with 11 questions for the nominees to answer.
So here we go...

Chanel style Outline Nails in Navy and Gold

Remember Chanel's outline nails featured in one of their fashion shows last year? Yes, I'm hopelessly late to this trend, but the other day inspiration struck and I decided to give this very cool manicure a go.

Keeping the Chanel spirit in mind, I went for a classic colour combination with a dark navy as a base followed by Barry M's famous gold on top.
