Saran Wrap/Cling film nails: Minty nails with rose gold foil effect

Just a quick manicure, as I'm sooo busy these days. I was going for a rose gold foil kind of effect, and used the saran wrap/cling film technique to pat some of Essie's "Pennytalk" on to L'Oreal's "Perle de Jade".

I just love how quick and easy it is to stamp nails with cling film, whilst still achieving very interesting and eye catching effects!

How to follow twincolours.net

I can't believe it's been ten days since my last post. Nothing much has happened, to be honest—just life. I've been unwell for the past few days so all I've been wanting to do is crawl into my bed!

On another note, I'm sure that all of you have heard about Google Reader shutting down. As far as I am aware, Google Friend Connect will be shutting down at some point as well, and Google has been trying to encourage people to use Google Plus instead for a while now. Admittedly I am clueless as to how Blogger works in connection with Google Plus, so I will give you a couple of alternatives on how to follow me.

BLOGLOVIN': Bloglovin is a great way to follow your favourite blogs. You can follow me here.

HELLOCOTTON: Another lovely platform is Hellocotton. Only downside: women's blogs only. Follow me here.

BLOGGERS: Not as flashy, but if you want to use Bloggers you can follow me here.

REAL OR STEAL: Let the sunshine in!

So, some of us here in Britain were blessed with a stunning 14 degrees and gorgeous sunshine yesterday. Luckily, I had bought a lovely new pair of sunglasses a while back in anticipation.

Last year, I was stupid enough to lose my favourite pair of sunglasses: my beloved Ray Ban Clubmasters. I cried. Oh yes, I did. I was planning on replacing them as soon as possible, but I'm a student now and money is always tight. I can't spare £130!

I was over the moon when I found a very good quality duplicate in Europe for €60. Keeping in mind that it'll be a while until I can afford to replace my originals, I decided to go for it. No regrets, because I do really like them!

Now the Clubmaster trend has been around for a while, but it is just such a classic and therefore still wearable. It's no surprise then that virtually every British high street store is selling some funky Ray Ban Clubmaster duplicates. Have a look at my picks!

Vintage Shabby Chic Floral Nails (with Chanel 'Particulière' as a base)

Last week I stumbled upon the incredible Robin Moses' nail art channel on Youtube. I was instantly blown away. The creativity and skill behind her designs is definitely enviable. In fact, I was so inspired I immediately took to browsing the web for various tools and paints to give her acrylic paint technique a go.

The result: vintage shabby chic floral nails, inspired by Robin Moses.

For this design, I referred to this video tutorial. I didn't copy Robin's colour palette as I just fancied a quick go at the technique.
